For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, how long is the wait at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. Canadian restaurants typically run lunch and dinner services with a quieter stretch in between, coffee shops open early, and many kitchens close earlier on Sunday. Debit and tap are accepted almost everywhere, a tip of 15-20% is customary for table service, and GST or HST (plus PST or QST in some provinces) is added to the bill.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 a.m.–4 p.m.. Hours in Canada do change around statutory holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (416) 722-8678. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, lavenuetoronto.ca.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 4,274 reviews, which is a strong result for a diner in Toronto and suggests consistent service.
Toronto is in Ontario, Canada's most populous province, where hot humid summers, colourful falls and snowy winters shape local life; the Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa and the Golden Horseshoe are dense enough for transit and walking, while smaller towns are car country. Getting around Toronto is easiest by car for most of the year; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-hailing apps operate across Ontario's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We had an amazing experience at L'Avenue. Lee was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. Her recommendations were absolutely spot on, and everything we ordered was delicious. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and the drinks were just as impressive. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal. Thank you, Lee, for making our visit so memorable. We can't wait to come back!

I loved the Pancake Flight, all pancakes were amazing. I would say the strawberry chocolate one is quite heavy on the chocolate, so if you are a fan, that's definitely up your alley. My favorite was the blueberry lemon pancake, and the matcha was a new and unique flavour for me. Crystal, my server was amazing, she came in with high energy and made sure we were fed properly and joyfully. I would definitely want her again next time I come.

Came there around 10 am for brunch for a group of 9. We didn’t have to wait long for a table. However when we left, there was a huge lineup. They have tables inside and on the patio. There’s a good selection of food to please everyone’s preferences. Food was good and filling. Even the Bangkok inspired food dish. We couldn’t finish most of our dishes. Service was good - although we did order a side of scrambled eggs for our toddler that came last when we think it should have come first so they don’t have to wait so long vs adults. We also got a side of fruit cup. Those side options don’t show on the menu but are available. Love that they have real maple syrup. Their pistachio latte was rich and delicious. Our bagels were hard, like it was toasted too long. It was on the louder side and it’s hard to hear one another talk. They have high chairs but no changing stations. They don’t charge gratuity automatically for bigger groups. Had a good experience overall and will come back.

Huge shoutout to Crystal for the excellent service (Vibe is so cool). She took time to explain the menu and recommend dishes since we’re vegetarian. We had: - Very Berry Matcha Pancakes - Lemon Blueberry Pancakes - Eggs Benedict Saint-Ambroise ⭐️ Heads up: There was a long queue and the wait for a table + food took a while. But Crystal made our lunch so much smoother once we were seated. Still highly recommend for vegetarians and anyone craving amazing brunch. Just come early or be prepared to wait!

L’Avenue at The Well is absolutely worth the hype. Yes, we waited about an hour on a Sunday morning, but honestly, it paid off. The vibe inside is cool, eclectic, and buzzing without feeling chaotic. Shoutout to Niko, our server, who was phenomenal. No fluff, no upselling. He gave us real, honest recommendations, including what he loved and what he’d skip, which made the experience even better. The food? Outstanding. If you order one thing, make it the Spicy Chicken Benny. It nails that perfect balance of sweet heat and comes in a portion size that means business. Come hungry. Seriously. The plates are generous. The menu is stacked with options, and it’s already clear this won’t be a one-time visit. Can’t wait to go back and work my way through more of it.
