We went to Café 85 in downtown Toronto for a meal and had a pretty nice experience. We ordered quite a lot, including squid ink seafood linguini, cajun jambalaya, fish tacos, chicken waffles, and a side of cheese fries. Out of everything, the cajun jambalaya and the chicken waffles really stood out. The jambalaya was packed with seafood and had a satisfying flavor. The waffles were also well made, with a nicely crisp exterior. Overall, it is a great place to dine, and its perfect for catching up with friends over coffee or a latte. Recommended.

This place was okay, I would recommend getting a reservation because it was very busy when I went but wait wasn’t too bad about 20 mins. I started with the Before Sunrise, enjoyed it a lot, I think the ingredients balanced each other well but it’s very filling so keep that in mind. For my main I had the Mushroom Tartine, really enjoyed it, super delicious, the red bit on the side wasn’t spicy, expect it to be but it kinda tasted like a not spicy chill oil. Did not like the addition of tomatoes, they were kinda lukewarm and felt they didn’t add anything positive to the dish. The reason why I didn’t give a 5 star is because the matcha, was so bad, I felt like I went on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, sensations and flavours. I’ve had some bad matchas with the usual crimes of too water down or bitter, but this was a unique experience first of my bloodline type of experience. If this was Goldielocks and the three bears then I tried the porridge that Goldielocks made, there’s no too this or too that, it was just bad. It was also $8.95 (before tax), the dirty matcha. Very traumatic, would be a 3 star if I had ordered it and had to deal with the consequences of my actions. So my final

I literally loved everything! I ordered the Korean fried chicken, and it was amazing. The chicken wasn’t overly sweet, the poached egg was cooked to perfection, and it came with potatoes and a fresh salad. The salad even had these little crunchy salt flakes that added such a nice touch. My friend ordered the tiramisu French toast, and oh my goodness, it was heaven. It was so delicious and definitely something I’d order next time. For drinks, we tried their popular Spanish iced latte, and it was so yummy. It had the perfect balance of milkiness and sweetness. Overall, everything was fresh, flavorful, and well made! 🫶

A great find in the city. They were open and ready to go at 7am. The staff are friendly and attentive while the atmosphere is bright and welcoming. Got the Italian Sausage shakshuka which was piping hot, rich, and flavourful with a hint of heat. The hot chocolate is rich, smooth, without being excessively sweet or salty. Both are very well made and would be happy to come back.

This was a very cute place. I got the Osmanthus latte and it was delicious. My partner got the Biscoff Latte which was also very delicious. For brunch we shared the sweet potato hash, fried chicken Benny and the tiramisu French toast. Good quality ingredients. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a bite with a calm atmosphere.
