For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, how long is the wait at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. Canadian restaurants typically run lunch and dinner services with a quieter stretch in between, coffee shops open early, and many kitchens close earlier on Sunday. Debit and tap are accepted almost everywhere, a tip of 15-20% is customary for table service, and GST or HST (plus PST or QST in some provinces) is added to the bill.

Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 10 a.m.–7 p.m.. Hours in Canada do change around statutory holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. Its website is barburu.ca, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 522 reviews, which is a strong result for a bakery in Mississauga and suggests consistent service.

Mississauga is in Ontario, Canada's most populous province, where hot humid summers, colourful falls and snowy winters shape local life; the Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa and the Golden Horseshoe are dense enough for transit and walking, while smaller towns are car country. Canadian addresses list the street number and name, then the city, province abbreviation and postal code (letter-digit-letter, digit-letter-digit), and Mississauga follows the same pattern; a unit number such as Unit 200 or #3 refers to a suite inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The matcha here is the best I’ve ever had. I often come here and mango matcha is my absolute favourite. The matcha is smooth, strong and very fragrant. Their mango jam is made in store and is very concentrated and sweet and is the perfect addition to the matcha 🀀🀀 The strawberry matcha makes the drink more sour and I prefer it less compared to mango. Would definitely come back and try other flavours!!!!!!

barburu is a bit hidden, but it’s definitely worth finding. they have plenty of seating and parking, which made the visit really convenient. we got the matcha mochi flan, the matcha mango latte, and the matcha dalgona latte. the matcha mochi flan was probably my favourite. it had the perfect balance of sweetness and wasn’t overly sweet at all. the matcha mango latte was really good, but if you enjoy sweeter matcha drinks, this is definitely the one to get. i would recommend asking for less ice though, since i felt like there was a lot. the matcha dalgona latte wasn’t too bad either.

I'm incredibly impressed with this little cafe inside of an old Chinese supermarket; they single-handedly brought the entire plaza back to life. I was shocked at how busy there were on a Saturday afternoon --- the line was wrapping around the square space in which they work. Nonetheless, orders were moving quickly and efficiently, and the quality of drinks remained consistent. They also have a decently-sized seating area beside the store, which is often packed with people and their matcha lattes. Their service is always amazing; the employees are super friendly and smiley, which makes you smile as well. I have tried their mango matcha latte and regular matcha latte, and I observed that their default sweetness levels are vastly different. The matcha drinks with syrup are generally a lot sweeter than the regular matcha latte, which I believe should not be the case. Instead, it would be better to have a standard sweetness across all drinks, so customers don't have to use trial and error if they switch it up. With that being said, I would definitely say that this store has the best matcha that I've tried in the GTA, outside of Toronto. I can definitely see them thriving in more popu

Barburu has good drinks overall, especially for people who prefer a smoother and less intense matcha flavour. The regular green tea matcha had a good balance and ratio, though the matcha taste itself was not very strong. The strawberry matcha was also good, but the strawberry flavour was definitely more dominant. We ordered the version with matcha cream instead of the liquid matcha, so that may have affected the balance a bit. The pastries were decent overall. The hazelnut cruffin was a little dry and overly crunchy on the outside, which made the texture feel slightly awkward. It probably would have been much better warmed up. The pistachio pastry was good and very filling, but also tasted better after warming it up a bit

My to-go place for matcha in Mississauga! Have tried a few flavours of the matcha, and strawberry, jasmine and mango have been my favourite. The matcha is strong enough with flavour, balanced with creaminess and sweetness. There was a few times where my drink wasn’t completely filled to the top (even with normal ice), so more consistency with that could be appreciated especially given how much each drink is, but after mentioning this the servers were always gracious to fill it.
