What an incredible spot for a night out in Toronto. The atmosphere is perfect, and the attention to detail is truly impressive. We started with a round of oysters served on ice, which were incredibly fresh and exactly what we were craving. The cocktail program here is on another level, featuring beautiful drinks topped with creative garnishes like dried flower petals and edible gold-dusted spheres. It is rare to find a place that masters both the presentation and the flavors so perfectly. I am already planning my next visit to try more of their drink menu.

We stopped by with our small group at 7:30 on a Sunday. We specifically came in because we saw on their Instagram they advertised $1 oysters. Once we arrived and got seated, we were the only people there, we were told its only $1 each for 12 oysters with the purchase of a drink. Not as advertised. It was weird because none of the reviews I saw mentioned that, I said that, he said its always been that way. We got a drink our 12 oysters each and a few other appetizers. It took a while since it seemed only one person was working, so its understandable. The oysters were meh, they were surprisingly salty but I enjoyed the hot sauce they have and it balanced out the salty oyster. The other appetizers were okay I guess. We ended up going to another oyster bar near by.

i am surprised to call this place a bit of a hidden gem (or future gem, for now it's a budding flower); it is kind of tucked away on richmond st w, but it is still in the heart of downtown. i expected to need a reservation for their sunday buck-a-shuck/happy hour (it seemed like a great menu which made me want to check it out), but i was faced with a very quiet night of writing at my table for a few hours. they have some really nice and comfortable couch seating near the windows. the buck-a-shuck oysters were a really good size and delicious! my gimlet was great, so was my partner's old-fashioned. everything else was meh. the service was friendly but a bit slow, but it seemed there was only one person working in the -whole- restaurant so it was understandable. overall, i think the lacklustrousness can be chalked up to understaffing, but this too is likely a result of declining business. it is a shame because there is a lot of potential for this place, and my experience was good for what was within reach. i also think i am inclined to think positively because i will always fall for good buck-a-shuck.

We were just walking by and noticed this place by chance, so we decided to stop in — and it turned out to be such a great surprise. The atmosphere inside is really cozy and relaxed, perfect for a casual evening. We also happened to come during happy hour, and the oysters were at a very nice price, which made the experience even better. The cocktails were delicious and beautifully made. What stood out the most was the gentleman working the bar — he was both making the drinks and bringing them to the tables, and he was incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming. Service like that really makes a place special. Definitely a lovely spot we’re happy we discovered!

Stumbled into this lovely bar on a late wednesday evening as our last stop for the night. This place was so awesome. At first, we were the only ones in the restaurant but then several more tables began to appear. It is a dark, candle-lit area with comfortable seating options and fantastic cocktails. We ordered some of the appetizer bites, also and they were fantastic. That bread and butter combo was some of the best I’ve ever had. The potato chips were perfect. They do specials each day of the week, as well. Highly recommend!
