I went in for perm with Toni sometime in end of last year, came in with straight hair and following all instructions and buying the creams/serums from their line after first wash (3 day post treatment) hair is more or so straight and fried, the haircut was terrible as i was told by another hairstylist but that is not what im here to discuss. i know wasn’t told maybe my hair won’t take perm or that would be smth to consider was supposed to do a perm and came in for a perm TX bc my complain that my hair wasn’t curly or permed and nothing other than that was implied just “compl TX”. At the apt, i was told its not enough time you’re booked in for and wed just do a protein TX (that was the compl services n mb onwards id pay again for the perm) i asked for a refund for how this was handled and all they can do was 25% of total and that barely cored what i tipped very dissatisfied felt cheated and i despise the “fake nice act” esp when ppl switch up. i was debating on posting a review but i wish someone had told me or i was warned earlier.

I got my haircut with Aliza yesterday, and unfortunately I left really disappointed. I had gone in wanting light, soft layers with the goal of eventually growing my hair to one even length again after dealing with damage. While I understood that a fair amount needed to be cut off, the final result feels extremely uneven and the layers around my face are much harsher and shorter than what I had asked for or what suits my face shape. What made it more frustrating was that the styling at the salon hid a lot of the issues. Once I washed and styled it myself, it became very obvious that the cut is uneven and difficult to wear naturally. I honestly feel so horribly bad with this haircut compared to how I did before going in. I had seen Aliza once before and had a much better experience, which is why this was surprising. This time, the appointment felt rushed and the overall demeanour felt very different, possibly because another client’s colour was processing during my appointment. At the beginning of my appointment she immediately began dealing with another client, which is understandable in a busy salon environment, but I do think the appointments maybe should have been staggered sl

In one visit, Toni brought my fine curly hair back to life! Not only did she give me an incredible cut, but her product recommendations have far exceeded my expectations! My hair has truly never looked better, as someone who has struggled with brittle, frizzy & fragile hair for years. Her artistry paired with the davines products is the combination i never knew I needed! Candice did an absolutely amazing job on my hair! From the moment I sat in her chair, she made me feel completely comfortable and cared for. She took the time to have a detailed conversation to truly understand what I was looking for and set realistic expectations, which I really appreciated. What stood out even more was how she explained every single step of the process in such a clear and detailed way — even though I’m not a hair specialist, she made sure I understood everything and felt confident throughout. She was incredibly patient, attentive, and kind — constantly checking in to make sure I was happy at each stage. Her talent truly shines through in her work, and her warm, generous personality made the whole experience even better. I’m beyond happy with the results and so glad I trusted her with my hair. I had such a great experience at August Salon with Akshi! I have wavy-curly hair and was a bit nervous about going for a short haircut, but she made the whole process feel exciting and comfortable. We talked a lot during the appointment, which made it super fun, but she was still so focused and attentive the entire time. Akshitha really listened to what I wanted and helped me explore something new that I ended up absolutely loving. The cut suits my texture perfectly, and I’m excited about how versatile it is—I can style it in so many different ways. If you’re thinking of trying something new or need someone who truly understands curls, I highly recommend her!
